Tomcat Moritz
Moritz came summer 2006, but I´m not sure, maybe fall. One day he sat in the garden, waited for some food. My father called me and the first time I saw Moritz. I was shocked. Poor Moritz was just skin and bones. He stunk and looked very poor. We gave him something to eat but he wasn´t able to eat much. It was a Sunday and I told my father to wait till Monday and then drive to the vet. I had to work and my father did it. We got medicine for the poor cat who had the cat flu and some hole at his tongue. The holes was the reason why he was unable to eat although he was staving. He got his medicine we took him into the cellar, the little bathroom we have there and coddle up this poor creature again. After he was healthy he stayed with us. He came into the house and soon he slept at my bed. But he still was an outdoor cat and the house of my parents stands very close to a road people always drive too fast. I was always afraid of losing him because of that. As I moved I decided Moritz would come with me. No outdoor cat anymore after we moved. I know a lot of people would call that "cruelty to animals" but he has his balcony which is "cat safe" and he is calm and never cried to go outside anymore. He´s getting older and seems to be fine with the situation. I don´t know where he comes from to whom he did belong. But one thing is sure: as he became ill he wasn´t wished anymore! He was forgotten because a sick cat means some work and it costs some money. But he´s worth all that and I´m happy he´s still alive and with me! He likes to eat so called "cat sticks", his special provender and to lie on my bed. More picture of Moritz
